Tommy Hanson is one of the biggest pitching prospects in baseball, and showed his best stuff on June 25, 2008 in Double-A, where he threw a no-hitter for the Mississippi Braves, striking out 14 batters in the process. He won 11 minor league games in 2008, and then in the Arizona Fall League, Tommy went 5-0 with a 0.63 ERA, being named the AFL MVP. He was the first pitcher ever to win this award. The Atlanta Braves named him their Pitcher of the Year for his phenomenal minor league season. On June 7, 2009, Tommy Hanson made his Major League debut, and had a no-decision in the game. on June 2, 2009, Tommy won his 1st Major League game, and in his next 3 starts, he did not give up an earned run, improving his Major League record to 4-0 after his first 5 starts for Atlanta.
