This autographed card features autographed cut signatures of both Babe Ruth and Jacob Ruppert. It is in a sealed hard plastic case and was produced by TRISTAR for their Signa Cuts Bronx Edition. It is the only card in existence, and is numbered 1/1.
Babe Ruth. The Bambino. The Sultan of Swat. Babe Ruth is the greatest sports icon in American history. He pitched for the Boston Red Sox from 1914-1919, leading them to 3 World Series Championships during that time, winning 94 games with a 2.28 ERA. He belted homeruns for The New York Yankees from 1920-1934, leading them to 4 World Series Championships. George Herman Ruth belted 714 homeruns during his career and adding 2,217 RBIs while achieving a lifetime batting average of .342. Babe Ruth was inducted into The Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 as part of the 1st class of inductees into The Hall of Fame.
Jacob Ruppert was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New York's 15th district from 1899-1907, and then became The New York Yankees owner on December 31, 1914 and owned the team until his death on January 13, 1939. As owner of The New York Yankees, Jacob purchased the contract of Babe Ruth in 1919 from The Boston Red Sox and turned The Yankees from a not so great team, to a baseball powerhouse, becoming a dynasty.
We had only a few remaining boxes left of the TRISTAR Signa Cuts Bronx Edition, and so we decided at BonanzaSports.net to open the remaining few boxes so we could add a few Signa Cuts Yankees autographs to our showcase. The very last box we opened contained the redemption card for the coveted Babe Ruth and Jacob Ruppert autographed cut card. Wow!
My employee, Florida Marlins top prospect, Logan Morrison, and I were both in shock to pull such an amazing card. It was definitely the pull of a lifetime, and can be viewed at our website www.BonanzaSports.net. Thank you TRISTAR!
